We have made it simpler to keep you updated on www.sdu-vikings.dk. Simply by clicking the RSS-feed icon in the lower left corner you can now subscribe to news on the homepage.
RSS-feeds is something similar to a live bookmark, so that you will get notifications of changes on www.sdu-vikings.dk without having to visit the homepage.
With the implementation of RSS-feeds on the site, it has now become even easier to remain updated.
New Engine Control Unit

We have recently received the hardware for the new improved Vikings ECU v.3., and are happy to announce that it promises well for the future.
The software from v.2 has been ported to the new hardware and a successful start-up of Viking II has already been made. This is indeed a great start for the new ECU and it shows the great potential of the 100% student designed FPGA based Engine Control Unit from the SDU Vikings team.

SDU Vikings to Silverstone in 2010

www.formulastudent.com has just announced the selected teams for this year's Formula Student event at Silverstone in the UK.
And we are very pleased to announce that the SDU Vikings Racing team, the winner of the "Most innovative use of an imbedded system 2009", is once again going to the legendary Silverstone circuit to participate in Formula Student!

At the moment we’ve almost completed the final design of the steering wheel, with only minor adjustments to address, in favor of the electric boogie team.
The wheel is to be milled out of a solid aluminum block that to some degree might sound somewhat heavy, but it is the best alternative at the moment. We would have hoped to make it out of carbonfiber, but that will not be possible at the moment.
