In the course of a University award among European universities in the autumn of 2008, B&R called for innovative concepts, creative solutions and promising scientific research projects from all technical areas related to Industrial Ethernet. Out of 27 submissions from eight European countries, the group of students headed by professor Karsten Holm Andersen from the University of Southern Denmark in Odense was declared the winner Read more

SDU Vikings win at Silverstone

This year the SDU Vikings Racing Team won National Instruments price for "Most Innovative Use of an Embedded System in the Car". ni_price_smallWith the price was a Compact Rio system with four modules after our choice.

We are very proud of the price as we have a very big electronics team and use a lot of time and efford in our own electronics. We construct all electronic our self including Engine Control Unit (ECU) and all communication in the car is done by Ethernet PowerLink real-time ethernet.

Goals for Viking III

As it is an enourmous job to make a racecar we decided to concentrate on some specific parts of the car. In that way we hope that these parts will be as good as possible. Before we started building the car we made some goals for Viking III.
