Formula Student is an exciting international design competition. It’s the largest and most successful of its kind in the world. Over 400 university student teams worldwide participate in this competition by designing, building, testing and racing their very own Formula-style racing car. Teams compete at one, or more, of the 8 events which are held throughout the world on racetracks like Silverstone, Hockenheim and the California Speedway.

The main aspect of the competition is the education of the students through the broad hands-on experience they gain while working in a high-tech and challenging project.

The competition prepares students for their future careers in the engineering and business world.

Not only engineering skills, but also management, presentation and people skills are trained; the project comprehends everything the students will face in their future careers as the captains of industry.

Participants in the Formula Student competition are trained in the following disciplines:
